Each year during Advent, our church reads the same Christmas devotional. As we approach our fifth Christmas together, you might feel ready for a change—but I’d like to encourage you to stay the course. The purpose of Advent, Christmas, and even this devotional itself isn’t to uncover new wisdom or knowledge. Its purpose is to draw us into the presence of God through His Son, Jesus. And that is exactly what this devotional helps us do.
From December 1 through December 31, each day offers a page or two that helps us focus our minds and hearts on Christ, allowing us to marvel once again at Jesus—the King who came to us as a baby at Christmas.
So let me encourage you to pick up your copy early and be ready to start reading on December 1. Use this time to prepare your heart to encounter the living Jesus this Christmas—both personally and as a church family. As you meet in Transformation Groups, bring your devotional with you and share how the Lord is speaking to you this season.
From the author: This daily devotional for December will help you slow down, prepare your heart, and focus on what matters most—adoring our Savior, Jesus.
